The Player Layout

The Player Layout

The Play MPE Player's main function is to give you access to listen to, download and learn more about current and past releases provided by labels, artists, and managers that are pertinent to your role in the recording and radio industry.

The main default layout when you launch the player will show Releases: releases and album graphics in an interface you use to browse or search for releases. Every time there is a release available to you, it will appear in the Player (and you will receive an email notification if the release owner wishes) where you can play it and click into the release to see more information the release owner thinks is important.

Up Next
The up next section (left section of the player), shows the current queue of songs to be played.

The Music Player

A currently playing track will display in the Player at the bottom of the screen with its highlighted Album cover, Artist and Track Title.

If nothing is playing, there is a default note graphic in place of a missing album graphic.

Play / Pause

When playing the center play control will turn to Pause. When the user clicks pause the song will stop playing, and the control will show the Play button.

Clicking play again will start the track at the same time in the song it was paused.

Next / Previous

Clicking the Left and Right arrow play controls will stop the current song from playing and will play the previous or next tracks in the queue.

Progress Bar

Clicking any point in the progress bar will skip to that point in the song.

The time counter on the left side of the progress bar updates continuously to show the current time in the song in minutes and seconds.

The time counter on the right side of the progress bar shows the total time of the song.

Info / Add to

At any time the user can click the i and the + icons to the left of the album icon without interrupting the playing of the song.  Clicking the i icon will bring up the Release Information page for the track’s Release. Clicking the + icon will bring up the Add to Playlist control.
