Staff Roles determine a team member’s level of access to tools and features within Play MPE® Caster. Multiple roles can be assigned to a single user, allowing for flexibility in permissions. All staff members automatically have access to the Reporting tool.

Available Staff Roles

Upload Service

This role is specifically for staff who are responsible for creating releases using the restricted Upload Service tool. These releases are finalized by internal Play MPE staff. 

Users with the Upload Service role can only create releases through the Upload Service tool. Once logged in, they will see the Create New Release button.


Note: Assigning the Upload Service role to a user will automatically remove all other roles they may have. Other roles do not have this restriction.

Release Manager

This role provides full access to the Releases and Assets sections. Users with this role can upload and assemble audio assets, create releases, and assign them to recipients.

Release Sharer

The Release Sharer role allows users to distribute existing releases to different labels.

Users can share releases but cannot create or modify release content. If a user has the Release Sharer role but not the Release Manager role, they will be restricted to sharing, not creating, releases.

Label Manager

This role grants access to the Labels section. Users with this role can create sub-labels under a parent label.

List Manager

The List Manager role allows users to organize recipient lists and manage their assignment to labels. Users can add or import recipients into lists, and assign lists to different labels via the Lists menu.

Staff Manager

The Staff Manager role is for those responsible for managing other staff accounts. Users with this role can create new staff accounts and assign roles to other users through the Staff section.
