The Play MPE® Player Layout

The Play MPE® Player Layout

The Play MPE® Player serves as your primary interface for accessing, listening to, downloading, and learning about current and past releases from labels, artists, and managers relevant to your role in the recording and radio industry.

Main Layout

Upon launching the player, you will see the Releases section, featuring album graphics and a user-friendly interface for browsing or searching for available releases. Each time a new release is available, it will automatically appear in the Player. You may also receive an email notification if the release owner opts to send one. Click on any release to play it and access important information provided by the release owner.

The main default layout when you launch the player will show Releases: releases and album graphics in an interface you use to browse or search for releases. Every time there is a release available to you, it will appear in the Player (and you will receive an email notification if the release owner wishes) where you can play it and click into the release to see more information the release owner thinks is important.

Play Queue Section

Located on the left side of the player, the Play Queue section displays the songs that are currently playing, and the ones that are up next. The Up Next section displays the current queue of songs that are set to play. This allows you to see what’s coming up next in your listening experience.

The Music Player bar

At the bottom of the screen, the currently playing track is displayed with its highlighted album cover, artist name, and track title. If no track is playing, a default note graphic will be shown in place of the album cover.

Play / Pause Controls

The center control button will display Play when the track is paused and Pause when a track is playing.

Clicking Pause stops the track, and clicking Play again resumes playback from the same point in the song.

Next / Previous Track Controls

Use the Left and Right arrow controls to skip to the previous or next track in the queue. This will automatically stop the current track and start the selected one.

Progress Bar

You can click any point in the Progress Bar to skip to that specific moment in the song.

Under the Play button, the Time Counter on the left side continuously updates to show the current playtime (in minutes and seconds). The right side displays the Total Duration of the song.

Autoplay Toggle

The autoplay toggle is a switch that helps you control your listening experience, as it lets you choose whether songs will play automatically one after the other.
When it's on (blue): As soon as one song finishes, the next one starts playing.
When it's off (grey): After a song ends, the player stops, and you have to manually choose the next song.

Info / Add to Playlist

Without interrupting playback, you can click the i icon to view the Release Information page for the current track.

Click the + icon to open the Add to Playlist control, allowing you to easily include the track in your custom playlists.

Volume Control

The Volume Control function allows you to adjust the audio level of the Player, ensuring an optimal listening experience. This feature is represented by a slider at the right of the Player bar, enabling to increase or decrease the sound output according to your preference. You can drag the slider left to decrease volume or right to increase it. You can modify the volume at any time without interrupting playback.

The volume Control includes a mute button, which silences the audio when clicked. Clicking it again restores the previous volume level.
