Resends are a crucial element of your Caster campaign! These follow-up email blasts help to keep your release relevant and fresh in the inboxes of your recipients. Each release includes 2 complimentary resends of the promotional email blast and we generally recommend waiting 3-4 weeks between each blast.
What can I change?
Resends allow you to keep your recipients updated with relevant promotional information. Has your song seen traction on radio? Thank those stations for those early spins in your blast! Just announced some tour dates? List those dates and venues! Received some great feedback about your track? Add some quotes!
Updates to your release can include:
- Changes to your email subject line
- Adding new press photos*
- Press quotes
- Edits to your promotional info
- Tour dates
- Music videos*
- Updated audience and streaming statistics from social media
- Call letters or stations currently, or recently, spinning your track
How do I schedule a resend?
To schedule a resend of your release, visit your Releases page. Click on the 3-dot menu on the release and select “Request Resend” as shown in the image below. This will open up the request form to start the process.
Add Send Date, Time, and Time Zone for your resend and include any changes you’d like to see in your email. If you are satisfied with your original promotional info as is, feel free to leave this field blank. Once you’ve added your updates, click “Submit”.
* If including new photos or videos for resends, provide a Drive or Dropbox link in the field provided. Alternatively images and videos can be emailed to your Release Coordinator directly.
I’ve submitted a request. Now what?
Once you’ve submitted a request, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you’ve provided. Please note that it may take 1-2 business days to process your request. However, once your resend is ready, your Release Coordinator will send you a preview for your approval. Once you’re satisfied with the changes, your resend will be sent as per your request.
Repeat this process for your second resend.
Please note all resends must be used within 6 months of the initial send out, and we can only schedule one at a time.
