How does MTR’s technology locate my spins?

How does MTR’s technology locate my spins?

Using Machine Learning, MTR has built state-of-the-art monitoring and detection technology to help you get access to data from over 5000 radio stations. It uses waveforms to find matches from radio stations, thus removing inconsistencies that often arise when data is collected from self-reported radio lists. MTR almost exclusively tracks digital, so you might find more spins reported on MTR (compared to other platforms) as digital tends to have songs during advert slots on the corresponding terrestrial broadcast.

Similarity grouping (if there are multiple versions of the same songs, they could be identified as one spin). The threshold for similarity is very high.
