Assign Release Sharing Privilege

Release sharing is a special function that allows staff members to share releases with specific labels. This capability is distinct from regular staff roles and provides granular control over which labels a user can share releases to.

Assigning the Release Sharing Privilege

  1. Open Staff Management:

    • Navigate to the Staff section in your Caster account.
    • Find the account of the staff member you wish to assign the sharing privilege to.

  2. Assign the Privilege:

    • Click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu next to the staff member’s name.
    • Select Assign Sharing Privilege from the menu.

  1. A page will appear where you can choose the specific labels you want the user to be able to share releases with.
  2. You can either search for or browse through the available labels.

Important Note:
You cannot select an entire parent label and all of its sub-labels at once. Each label, including any sub-labels under a parent, must be selected individually. This ensures you don't accidentally share a release with a large number of labels.

  1. For each label you wish to grant access to, click the circular selection box beside the label name.

  2. Once you've selected the labels, click OK to save your choices. 

The staff member will now have the ability to share releases with the selected labels.

Removing Share Privileges

If you need to remove a staff member’s sharing access to certain labels, follow these steps:

  1. Go back to the Staff section and repeat the process to Assign Sharing Privilege.

  2. Uncheck the selection boxes next to the labels you no longer want the user to be able to share to.

  3. Click OK to finalize the changes.

The staff member will no longer be able to share releases with the deselected labels.
